Beer from the Krombacher Brewery and other brews from the German state of Bavaria, known as home of the world’s most beer-loving people, will be on tap at the festival.

Authentic Bavarian folk group Trenkwalder play the festival, which lasts through Sunday at Windsor Plaza on An Duong Vuong Street in District 5.

Visitors will also enjoy a German buffet including German bread and pretzels. Traditional folk games will also be on offer.

Oktoberfest, German largest beer festival, was first organized in 1810 during the wedding of Crown Prince Ludwig and Princess Theresa of Saxe-Hildburghausen.

The 16-day festival is held each year from late September to early October in Munich and other cities across the world.
