TOUR TO THE HEART OF MEKONG DELTA

Morning pick-up from your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City. Drive through green rice fields towards My Tho.

Visit the Vinh Trang Pagoda, a beautiful and peaceful Buddhist temple with impressive architecture blending Vietnamese, Khmer and Chinese styles.
Board a motorboat to cruise along the Mekong River, passing by stilt houses, fish farms, and small islands.
Stop at Tortoise Island where you will explore the famous local agricultural model called Garden – Pond – Cage.

Taste traditional sweets such as coconut candy and honey tea. Relax while listening to Southern folk music performed by local villagers.

Take a rowing sampan through narrow canals under the shade of water-coconut trees – a signature experience of the Mekong Delta.
Enjoy a delicious lunch at a local riverside restaurant.

In the afternoon, transferring to Can Tho City, the heart of the Mekong Delta. Check in to your hotel and enjoy free time to explore the city.

Overnight in Can Tho.

Early in the morning, take a boat trip to visit Cai Rang Floating Market, the largest and liveliest market in the Mekong Delta. Experience the vibrant atmosphere as dozens of boats gather to sell fresh produce, tropical fruits, and local goods.

Cruise among the floating stalls, interact with vendors, and enjoy the unique culture of trading on water.

After the market visit, travel by road to Chau Doc Town, located near the Cambodian border.

Along the way, stop at a floating fish farm where local families raise fish directly beneath their floating houses. You will have the chance to feed the fish – be careful, the splashing water might surprise you!

Continue by boat to a Cham village, where descendants of the ancient Champa Kingdom still live today. Visit their traditional hand-weaving workshop and learn about their Islamic faith at a local mosque.

Return to Chau Doc town by boat in the late afternoon, just in time to watch a beautiful sunset over the Mekong River.

After breakfast at the hotel, take a final boat trip on the Mekong to visit another floating village and see daily life on the river.

Stop at a fish farm to learn how locals cultivate and harvest fish in floating cages.

Continue to a Cham weaving village where traditional looms are still used to make colorful fabrics. 

Visit a local mosque, offering a glimpse into the spiritual life of the Cham minority.

After this cultural experience, transfer back by car to Ho Chi Minh City.
